Colourpop SuperShock Shadows!

I love Colourpop more than anything. Cute packaging, great prices, unique colours, good customer service, fast shipping, and a variety of products that are only going to continue growing; what isn't there to like?!

I was hearing mixed reviews at first, especially over at /r/MakeupAddiction. Most people seem to either love or hate the "Lippie Stix." Some seem to have trouble with the application of the eyeshadows, since their formula is an odd cross between powder and cream.

I love everything I bought. You have to look at this stuff!

AMAZING. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT.
beauty matte shade, I'm thinking it'd be perfect for transition
grey??? can I contour? Can I have pretty creases? Can I?? Crushing on this.
a matte yellow, it came in the quad and it's the most "fine, meh" shade of the bunch imho
how does this exist?????? it's so great
so apparently this isn't an eyeshadow, it's sold as a "pressed pigment" and "may not be safe for the eyes." I might not give a shit, and I might use it as a blush. we'll see.
it SAYS matte, but it's pretty shiny. before I realized how wonderful "too soon" was, this was the shade I wanted the quad for.
anyone have/seen the gem crush "big money" nailpolish by sally hansen? that's what "so quiche" looks like!
"too soon" was hard to photograph! it's a peach with fuchsia duochrome and it makes me want to party hard

I have never been so happy with random colour choices from a place I've never shopped before. "So Quiche" seems to be a very popular shade that everyone recommends, usually right alongside "Bae," which I didn't bother to buy. It seemed too similar to MAC's Blue-Brown and MakeUp Geek's Insomnia pigments for me to warrant a purchase.

Colourpop's single eyeshadows are only $5 each (2.1g), and quads are $20. From what I understand, their quad shades aren't usually available for individual purchase; so while you aren't saving money by getting a quad package, you're getting shades you can't get otherwise. Colourpop also sells blushes that are a bit larger than these shadows, and they're $8. I haven't tried any of them just yet, but I really want to!

My gripe... it's a bit misleading to include a pressed pigment and call it an eyeahdow quad. Many people have mentioned online in reviews that they've used it on their eyes and not had any reaction, so it's really up to the individual if they want to heed the warnings or not. I just think it would have been a better move to actually sell four eyeshadows in this package to make it easy and keep everyone happy.

I am going to continue to shop with Colourpop because so far, I haven't found a dud.

Join their mailing list and you'll get a coupon code for $5 off your purchase! That's a free eyeshadow, lipstick, or lip liner!

I have a second part coming up that includes a review of four of CP's Lippie Stix, so keep your eyes peeled.

(oh my god I cannot friuckghingh get the "Girl Crush" photo to align where I want it, I've spent hours. I'm done).
